Well, here it goes!

• I think that it's virtually impossible to understand a book or a movie entirely if it's translated. I hate watching American and English films translated into Russian, especially on TV. They don't even try to keep the exact meaning of words and phrases as they would translating books. When I compare the original version with the translated one, it's like black and white - miles away from how it should be done. You want an example? Here it is: The Specialist; Sharon leaves Sly after a night together. She leaves him a note: "I'm not a woman you can trust". How do you think they translated it? - "I'm not a woman. Trust me". What else can I say?
   

• Moldovan educational system is very far from perfect. In the university you don't get any feeling of a higher educational institution - it's exactly like school. Unlike in the USA and other Western countries, you don't have any choice in what courses to take. You only choose the specialty and then follow the syllabus designed by the authorities. For example, I took Finance and Insurance. So, in the first year I must attend such subjects as Economic Geography, Physical Education, Political Economy, although these subjects are taught in the high school. So, it's just a waste of time.
